Wake up

Soooo….. I have not written in this thing in a while so i have to step my game up in the weeks to come. New York is extremely different from what i thought it would be. It sounds glorious and all to live in New York but it isn’t the dream that i thought it would be. I guess its the fact that i work so much that hurts the image that i feel about New York

When you’re just out of college you have to do the grunt work to step up the ladder.

I don’t like it, but will do it to succeed. 

I am finding some good music though to get me through the walks though the city. I know this is about a month old or so but i slept on it.

Less than a week…

…until i am in New York making the biggest step of my life. The time is shortening and I don’t have time to worry about anything but moving. I had to change my bank, get fresh clothes, and even a NYC city guide/map thing. My friend knows a few people out in Hoboken and hopefully I can pick their brain on things to do.

I can not wait. I will write more on the trip and preparing for the move from Detroit 2 New York.

Apts.

I found it almost impossible to get an apartment with people in New York due to the fact that most people want to meet me before I move in.

I live 13 hours away people.

I found an apartment in Jersey City for 700 but havent seen pictures of it. Hopefully I am not living with roaches and other animals.

I signed a 3 month lease just to see how it is, and hope i can find other apartments in the meantime. It might be the best way to go

Meet people. They don’t all suck.

Get a job before making any plans. You might have to apply to 50 places for reasonable wages, but someone will eventually want you. Sites like monster.com are horrible due to the mad overflow of people trying to get the job. It helps to know people in NY or affiliated with the company, so name drop! Once the 1st job hits its a lot easier to find better opportunities.

I’ll be heading into New York next week for an interview I got from knowing someone. The other 49 places I applied to, never responded to me.

We’ll see how things go.

Ny or Dy.

Well i got about a month until i graduate and the crap is getting a little stinky. I don’t know what I am going to do, but i am sure i’m gonna work my ass off at whatever it is. I have this opportunity in NY at McCann but i am not so sure about living in NY at all. My family is negative about moving but I am my own man and can make my own decisions. I don’t have time to work to stockpile $. and mom and dad arnt gonna help me out too much.

Anyways I know i can do it and all i want to do is move out of Michigan and start something fresh. Ill keep it updated in a biiit. Maybe tomorrow?
